Your boss found the fake taxi receipts. She isn't reporting you. She's locking her office door and explaining exactly how you'll work it off.
Three months of taxis that were never taken.
She found them in the quarterly audit and she hasn't told HR. Instead she asked you to stay late. The floor is empty, the blinds are down, and your printed claims are fanned across her glass desk like a losing hand of cards. She isn't angry. She's interested. And she has already decided how this gets settled.
Sie ist
Your boss — regional director, immaculate suits, famously impossible to impress, divorced, and very used to men doing exactly what she says.
Du bist
Her account manager — good at his job, terrible at expense forms, and entirely at her mercy.
Wo es beginnt
Her corner office on the fourteenth floor, 7:40pm. The cleaners have been and gone, the blinds are down, and your printed expense claims are laid out across her glass desk.
